My Bead Soup Arrived!
Life Chaos Update

5th Bead Soup Blog Party Reveal

So this is actually the 5th go round for the Bead Soup Blog Party, but this is only my second time to participate. My partner was the lovely Ágnes Asztalos who gave me these fabulous beads. This proved to be quite the challenge, but I love the results. I learned and tried several new things in the process which makes the 5 hours spent on the necklace infinitely worth it.  :)

The challenge for me really came in the form of that epic metal pendant. Despite being into wire wrapping, my designs are nearly always focused on some shiny crystal or gemstone, not the metal itself. So that was definitely different. It also wasn't quite something I'd have picked out for myself, but I so love it anyway!

I'm still (my last design for BSBP was pretty epic, too) not into wearing larger designs but..... I am SO wearing this! And as frequently as I can. I also have several more design ideas I didn't have time enough to make, but here's what I did create:

Also. I am terribly sorry if this blog post is not nearly as well written as my usual ones. It's 3:45AM and, yes.. I am just now writing this blog post. Work ate up much of my free time, and I actually didn't realize the reveal date was 03/03/12. No clue why. Well. Aside from yesterday, Friday, I told my coworkers I'd "see them tomorrow" as I was leaving..... except I won't because today is Saturday?  Yeahhhhh.

ON TO THE COOL STUFF YOU'RE HERE FOR:

Ági sent me the amazing hamsa hand clasp. ♥

The epic focal is also from my partner. The beads are from my own stash, but inspired from what I received.
Close up of the focal. Also of note: I made each link. Hence the 5 hours to put this together. :D
More detail! This time of the lovely brass hoops that happened to be on my desk.
The clasp. I found the findings at my wholesaler a couple of weeks ago. I knew they'd be perfect!
Not the best photo, but this is to show how the necklace drapes.
And finally, a pair of earrings. The teardrops are from Ági.
Thanks for stopping by my blog! I hope to be returning comments and visiting everyone else's to see what sort of amazing things people have cooked up. In the meantime, visit the hostess' blog for a list of more participants right here.

Much love!
